New Sectional Assignments Approved by IHSAA Executive Committee

Local school see some new sectionals

The IHSAA Executive Committee approved the sectional assignments in six team sports for the next two school years.

Following a minor adjustment made in boys soccer, the Executive Committee accepted the recommendations of the respective realignment committees which determined the sectional groups for the 2019‐20 and 2020‐21 school years.

 

FOOTBALL:  Football Realignment

4A Sectional 23: MADISON, East Central, Greenwood, Jennings Co., Martinsville, Mooresville, Silver Creek, South Dearborn

2A Sectional 39: SWITZERLAND CO., Clarksville, Pekin Eastern, Mitchell, Paoli, Providence, Triton Central, Union Co.

 

BOYS BASKETBALL: Boys Basketball Realignment

3A Sectional 30: MADISON, Charlestown, Corydon, North Harrison, Salem, Scottsburg, Silver Creek

2A Sectional 45: SOUTHWESTERN, Austin, Clarksville, Henryville, Providence, SWITZERLAND CO.

1A Sectional 62: SHAWE, Crothersville, Edinburgh, Medora, Trinity Lutheran, West Washington

 

GIRLS BASKETBALL: Girls Basketball Realignment

3A Sectional 30: MADISON, Charlestown, Corydon, North Harrison, Salem, Scottsburg, Silver Creek

2A Sectional 48: SOUTHWESTERN, SWITZERLAND CO., South Ripley, Milan, South Decatur, North Decatur

1A Sectional 62: SHAWE, Crothersville, Edinburgh, Medora, Trinity Lutheran, West Washington

 

Volleyball Realignment    Girls Soccer Realignment    Boys Soccer Realignment

 

The baseball and softball realignment committee will meet this summer after both state tournaments conclude in June with their sectional recommendations being presented to the Executive Committee for approval at its August meeting.
