Canada and Australia pull out of Summer Olympics

Canada and Australia have both announced that since the Olympic Games have not been postponed at least a year, they will be pulling their teams and will not compete in the Summer Olympics. This due to the Corona Virus Pandemic. Both said this is about public health, not just the team’s health. Officials on the International Olympic Committee have not yet reached an agreement on when the Games will be postponed to, but claim they would still like to hold them this calendar year. They also assured that an outright cancellation of the Olympic Games would not be an option.

 

Some moves in the NFL over the weekend:

WR Emmanuel Sanders agreed to a 2 year deal with the New Orleans Saints.

RB Melvin Gordon signed a 2 year contract with the Denver Broncos.

Corner Artie Burns has agreed to a 1 year deal with the Chicago Bears.
