Madison And Southwestern Boys Golf Season Ends At Regional

No locals advance to state finals

IHSAA BOYS GOLF REGIONAL:

Both Madison and Southwestern's missed advancing to the state finals. The Cubs shoot 346 to finish 10th and the Rebels a 367 to finish 18th. Rebel Hunter Mefford missed the cut shooting a 78 with the cut at 74. Luke Ommen, and Trent Jameison both shot a 82 for the Cubs.

MADISON: Luke Ommen, 82 Trent Jameison, 82 Drew Barron, 87 Landon McDowell, 95 Dylan Eblen, 100

SOUTHWESTERN: Hunter Mefford, 78 Austin Kramer, 80 Trenton Hadley, 87 Camden Ashby, 122 Billy Tingle, 146

Center Grove won the regional title shooting 291. Floyd Central was 2nd at 301 and Columbus North 3rd at 303 advance to the state finals.

2019 IHSAA PROVIDENCE BOYS GOLF REGIONAL RESULTS

Hunter Mefford, who will play at  Purdue-Fort Wayne this fall, along with 2010 Madison grad and Hanover College golf coach, Brandon Tereshko, both qualified for the Indiana Amateur Championships to be held June 17-20 at Purgatory Golf Club in Noblesville.
