Boys Basketball:
Switzerland County Boys fell to Clarksville with the final score of 52 to 39. The Pacers are not 2-14 in their season.
Southwestern boys fell to South Ripley last night with the final score of 75 to 67. South Ripley’s Cody Samples led the team with 27 points moving him to 2nd on the all-time career scoring list past 1996 graduate Kris Cranfill. For Southwestern, Matthew Williams had 23 points, Austin Kramer had 13 points, Zach Cole had 10 points.
Madison boys fell to Seymour last night with a final score of 53 to 50.
Christian Academy of Madison defeated Laurel Christian School 66 to 57 in the final home game of the season. Clay Carter led CAM with 26 points while Jaxon Miller had 23 points. The Defenders are not 12-7 in the season.
Girls Basketball:
Carroll County girls fell to Williamstown with the final score of 56 to 48. The Panthers are now 4-8 overall and 1-3 in the NCKC
Girls Swimming:
Madison ladies had a great first night at the girl's high school swimming sectionals, qualifying for finals in the 200-freestyle relay and the 200-medley relay. Madison’s Emily Nay places 7th in the 100 butterfly with the time of 1:06 and will be moving onto the finals as well.
Switzerland County advanced the 200-freestyle relay and 400 freestyle to the finals.
Southwestern’s Julia Worcester broke 3 school records at the sectional prelims in the 100 breaststroke, 200 freestyle, and 400 freestyle relay. Also, Belle Crawford will be competing in the 100 butterfly and 100 back in the sectional finals. Southwestern’s 200 medley relay took 6th place.
