New Head Coach for Scottsburg Girls Basketball
Clarksville Academy’s girls basketball coach Carrie Daniels has announced she is leaving the school to become the head coach at Scottsburg, according to announcement by Clarksville Athletics Director Jake Peterson. Daniels grew up in Scottsburg, is a graduate of Scottsburg High School, and has much of her family still residing in the area. Coach Daniels gave the following statement regarding her departure, “This is such a bittersweet time. To have the opportunity to go home, live near family, and coach at my alma mater is surreal. At the same time, I am so sad to be leaving such a wonderful place that has been nothing but gold, to not only me, but to my husband Billy and our son Dalton. Words cannot begin to express the gratitude I have for Clarksville Academy.” The Clarksville Academy Athletics Department will begin the search for a new coach immediately.
