Turkey Shootout Split, Madison Girls Win , SW Boys Win

The Annual Turkey Shootout was back this year after a One Year Hiatus the excitement of Indiana High School Basketball at its finest as Southwestern hosted this years games and the Delbert O King Gymnasium was rocking from the beginning of the girls game up until the final horn on the boys game.

Madison Girls dominated the game from the beginning tipoff until the final horn Madison had hot shooting from the beginning holding Southwestern to just 9 pts in the first quarter. And the shooting never stopped as Madison took a dominating lead and held on to the 41 pt victory over SW to keep trophy in Madison for the 10th straight year.

Leading the way for Madison Cameron Cahall with 17 pts , Cadence Traylor with 16 pts , Taylor Lynch with 14 pts 

SW was lead by Kylie Eccles with 12 pts, Trinity McLain with 5 pts

Madison : 27/53 2 PT FG , 8/24 3 PT FG , 7/11 Free Throws

SW : 10/39 2 PT FG , 3/13 3 PT FG , 5/13 Free Throws

Boys Contest :

Southwestern dominated the Boys from the Tip until the Final Horn SW came into the contest with a whole new personnel as they graduated a whole group of Seniors and Madison came into the contest with a new Head Coach as Adam Stotts was making his debut with the Cubs 

SW dominated the first half with a 40-26 lead going into the halftime break and came out of the locker room and never looked backed but in the fourth quarter Madison went on a run but couldn't get over the hump as SW came out with the 82-61 win over Madison to claim the Old Oaken Bucket for the fourth time in the past five years .

SW : 31/53 58.5% 2 Pt FG , 7/15 46.7 % 3 Pt FG , 13/23 56.5 % Free Throws 

Madison 22/60 36.7 % 2 Pt FG, 5/27 18.5% 3 Pt FG, 12/16 75.0 % Free Throws
