Shawe 9, South Ripley 2

Shawe Memorial headed north to face ORVC foe South Ripley Monday night.  The Hilltoppers rode the right arm of Philip Kahn to a 9-2 victory.  Kahn went the distance striking out 10 while allowing only 2 runs on 5 hits. At the plate Kahn was 2/4 with a double and an RBI. Jacob Hertz was 3/5 with a double and RBI.  Tyler Hill was 2/3 with 5 stolen bases.  Trae Liston knocked in 3 with a double and Ryker Brooks had 2 hits and 2 RBIs.  Shawe committed only one error.

GOLF: 

Southwestern Boys Golf competed at Belterra Golf Course tonight. Southwestern finished in 2nd place with a team score of 186 behind first-place Rising Sun (176). Switzerland Co was third with a score of 195. Nate Elliot (RS) was the medalist (39). Wayde Barker finished 3rd overall with a score of 44, with his brother, Wyatt Barker taking 4th place with a score of 45.

Madison won last night on tough golf course. We played the back 9 at Champions Point. Landon True was medalist and Henry Ashley came in second. Also, Luke Barron tied for third. Clayton Benkert had to withdraw from the match with an elbow injury.

TENNIS: 

Madison Lady Cubs lost last night on the road at Hauser 4-1.  Winners for the Madison we the 2 doubles team of Peighton Mundt and Olivia Scroggins in a tough three set Marathon 6-4, 5-7, 7-6 (11-9).  JV winners for Madison were doubles teams of Marley Stivers and Emi Dowell, and Piper Fischmer and Laura Boles.
