SWITZERLAND COUNTY GIRLS OVER MILAN 10-0

MADISON GIRLS OVER SCOTTSBURG 8-0

The Lady Cubs won their first game of the season defeating Scottsburg last night by the score of 8-0.  Scoring for the Lady Cubs were Kyra Ayler with a hat trick scoring 3 goals while Dellah Gibson, Kylie Montgomery, Lilly Sullivan, Kenzie Smith and Kamea Phelps scored one goal each. Goal Keepers Peighton Chatham and Jane Jenner combined for a shutout and everyone who played on the back line combined for a clean sheet for the contest. The Lady Cubs look forward to the next matchup on Wednesday as they travel to Switzerland County.

Harlee Hill had 9 kills on 15 for 18 hitting, 2 blocks, 8 assists, and 12 digs, Rorie Scroggins had 5 kills and 1 block, Jenna Owens had 4 kills, 1 block, 1 ace, and 7 digs, Raygan Crawford was 22 for 27 passing with 9 digs and added 2 kills and 1 ace.

Quote: South Dearborn is a very good team with a dynamic offense. I thought we played pretty well at times but we lacked consistency and our offense was too sluggish. Harlee Hill had a nice game offensively and was hitting the ball extremely well. We just needed more production from our other hitters. Raygan Crawford and Jenna Owens played well in the back row and led the way in serve reception.

Southwestern is currently 3-2 and hosts Clarksville on Wednesday at 6pm.
