Quote: Offensively we had a good balanced attack tonight. Four hitters with 7 kills or better is a good night. I wasn't happy with our intensity or communication in the second set but the girls did a good job of bouncing back in the third and fourth. Parker Mefford anchored our defense while Riley Scroggins lead the way up front.
Southwestern is currently 4-2.

I'm very proud of the way the ladies stepped up tonight. I think they were pretty unhappy with their back nine last Saturday, and even though we are an inexperienced squad, they want to have success.
I think every one of them put in extra work outside of the official practices the last couple of days. Grace and Emmi were solid for us again, as usual, but I'm really waiting for Grace to bust out. I think she can make some real noise if some things come together for her in time.
The big news tonight was Lilly's 47. Things really seemed to start clicking out there tonight with the ball striking and some touch around the greens. That 47 was a personal best for her, and if we can get that from her consistently, that would be huge.
Aleigh and Riley continue to grind for us. I couldn't be more proud of the effort and improvements they have made in a short amount of time. Our season wouldn't be the same without them, and I think their effort will pay off if they continue to stay as mentally tough on the course as they have been
Southwestern Girls Soccer opened their season hosting Austin. Both teams had few subs but played with heart. Jaclyn Jackson began her soccer career as our goalie tonight. 4 minutes into the game Austin began the scoring. Kearstin Cizek answered with a hat trick over the remainder of the half, the final one from her corner kick. Austin opened the scoring second half but Adrea Liter answered with a score for Southwestern. Austin scored once more and Cizek added the final goal to give us a 5-3 win.
