Madison girls tennis lost to a very solid providence team 0-5

Shawe girls' tennis fell to Greensburg 1-4 1S - Sarah Willhite lost 3-6, 1-6 2S - Kelly McClure won 3-6, 6-2, (10-5) 3S - Nora May lost - 0-6, 0-6 1D - Julia Leatherman and Alicia Miranda lost 0-6, 0-6 2D - Lucy Wilhelm and Malari Boswell lost 4-6, 2-6 Shawe is 1-1

BOYS BASEBALL : 

Shawe's baseball team faced a tough defeat in their season opening game at Post 9 Field, falling 13-0 to Southwestern (Hanover).

Hitting: Shawe managed to get 2 hits during the game, one from Tyler Hill and another from Luis Garcia. The team also drew 3 walks, with Traevin Liston, Jonathan Lopez, and Lyndon Jones each reaching base on balls. Jonathan Lopez added a stolen base to his performance.

Pitching: Traevin Liston (L) started on the mound for the Toppers, pitching 1.2 innings and allowing 8 runs (5 earned) on 3 hits, with 2 strikeouts, 4 walks, and 3 hit-by-pitches. Tyler Hill came in relief and pitched well, going 2.1 innings without allowing any hits or runs, and striking out 3 batters. Jacob Hart finished the game, pitching the final inning and allowing 5 runs on 4 hits with 3 walks.

TRACK AND FIELD : 

Shawe Boys and Girls at New Washington with Rock Creek

The men’s track got 1st place for the New Washington meet on the 8th.

Nick Schultz placed 1st on the 200 meter dash with a time of 28.07 and 2nd on long jump with the distance of 12’ 4.5”

Jorge Ambrosio placing 2nd for the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:08:85

Gus and Wes Schafer 1st and 2nd for throwing with the distance of 33’ 1” and 22’ 2.75”

Girls 200 meter dash: Ava Flint 1st place with the time of 32.25, Maria Ameca-Mendoza 2nd place with the time of 32.63

Sol Ramírez did long jump for the first time and got a 9’ 6.5”  jump
