IHSAA Girls Volleyball State Tourney Begins Tuesday

INDIANAPOLIS - The IHSAA Girls Volleyball State Tournament gets underway this week. 

Sectional play begins Tuesday, October 15 and continues through Saturday, October 19 at 64 sites across the four enrollment classifications. 

Two regional championship matches will be played in a doubleheader format on Saturday October 25 with each winner advancing to a four-team semi-state on Saturday, November 2.

The four state championship matches will be played at Ball State University on Saturday, November 9. 

Locally, Lawrenceburg and Oldenburg are seeking back-to-back sectional titles.

Class 4A Sectional 14 at East Central 

M1: Franklin Community vs. Columbus North
M2: East Central vs. Columbus East
M3: Whiteland vs. M1 Winner
Championship: M2 Winner vs. M3 Winner

 

Class 3A Sectional 29 at Lawrenceburg

M1: Greensburg vs. South Dearborn 
M2: Franklin County vs. Batesville
M3: Jennings County vs. M1 Winner
M4: Lawrenceburg vs. M2 Winner
Championship: M3 Winner vs. M4 Winner

 

Class 2A Sectional 45 at Brownstown Central 

M1: Switzerland County vs. Brown County
M2: Austin vs. Southwestern (Hanover)
M3: Brownstown Central vs. M1 Winner
M4: South Ripley vs. M2 Winner
Championship: M3 Winner vs. M4 Winner

 

Class 1A Sectional 60 at Trinity Lutheran 

M1: Trinity Lutheran vs. Oldenburg
