Men fall on the road
Hanover women's basketball lone loss in the conference came to from the hands of Transylvania on January 15th in Lexington 85-68. Panthers have won 9 games in a row coming into Wednesday nights contest at the Collier Arena. Hanover upsets the nations 9th ranked and 4th ranked in the region Transylvania for their 10th in a row and gain a tie for first in the HCAC with a 64-57 victory.
Alexis Nall scored 19 of her 26 points in the 2nd half to lead two other Panthers in double figures. Kristin Mills added 13 and Savannah Courtney had 11.
Hanover will close out their regular season on Saturday as they host Rose Hulman. A Panther win and a Transy loss would give Hanover the outright HCAC title. A victory by both be be a tie for title with Transy getting the #1 seed due to a tie breaker in the post season tournament.
Hanover men's chance at a regular season conference title came to an end as they fall to Transylvania in Lexington 70-65. Panthers fall into a tie for 4th with Rose Hulman who they will host on Saturday in the regular season final. Kevin Williams led Hanover with 20, Mark Albers 15, Ty Houston 14 and Issac Hibbard 13.
