HANOVER COLLEGE:

The Hanover men's basketball team won its fourth straight game, defeating Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference-rival Mount St. Joseph at home, 73-52. Cam Fails with 24 for the Panthers. Hanover begins the 2nd half of the conference season on Saturday in a three-way tie for first with Rose Hulman and Transylvania.

Despite double-doubles from Alexis Nall and Maleha Motter , the Hanover women's basketball team fell on the road at Mount St. Joseph, 70-69. Nall tallied 20 points and a career-high 19 rebounds, while Motter added to her conference-leading double-double mark with a team-high 21 points and 15 rebounds. The loss dropped Hanover from a three-way tie for the conference lead to 3rd behind Rose Hulman and Transylvania.

 

2A #1 ranked Southwestern received good news on Wednesday as Hunter Mefford has been cleared to begin playing. Mefford was injured on December 22 in a game against Switzerland Co. in the JCIT which required surgery. Rebels take on Christian Academy of Indiana tomorrow on the road. 95.3 WIKI will carry the game starting at 7:15
