Shawe gets first win, Hanover opens season

HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS BASKETBALL:

Shawe picked up their first win of the year as the Lady Toppers defeated Columbus Christian 54-32. Kate Grote had 23 points and Grace McAlister had a double-double with 18points and 18 rebounds.

 

Madison fell in a close one to South Dearborn 33-31. Bailey Dyer led the Lady Cubs with 7 points.

 

Sectional foe, North Decatur defeated Southwestern 45-36. Abby Ralston 19 points for the Lady Rebels.

 

The Hanover men's basketball team opened its 2018-19 season Tuesday evening with a 78-55, home victory over Spalding. Three players score in double figures including freshman Zach Harp who tailed 19 points in his collegiate debut. Issac Hibbard recorded a double-double with 16 points, as well as a career- and team-high 12 rebounds, giving him his first collegiate double-double.
