FRIDAY, OCTOBER 18th:

FOOTBALL FRIDAY NIGHT:

Carroll Co. clinched the #2 seed in District 5 to get a home opener in game one of the post season with a 48-18 victory over Owen Co.

Madison closes out their regular season with a 61-14 loss to Columbus East. Cubs finish the regular season at 1-8. Madison will host Greenwood in the sectional opener next Friday. The Woodmen are 3-6 on the regular season losing their last 5 of 6 games.

Switzerland Co. falls to Milan 54-0 in their regular season final. Pacers finish at 5-4 losing 4 of their last 5 games. Switzerland Co. will host Paoli in the sectional opener next Friday. The Rams defeated Madison in their opener this season and are also 5-4 after the regular season.

 

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 19th:

IHSAA BOYS 2A SOCCER REGIONAL @ HERITAGE HILLS:

Madison defeats West Vigo 3-0 in the Semi-Finals but fall 8-0 to #2 Evansville Memorial in the Championship.

 

IHSAA 2A SECTIONAL 45 VOLLEYBALL @ SOUTH RIPLEY:

Southwestern falls to North Decatur in the Semi-Finals 3-1 (25-11, 25-19, 23-25, 25-14)

 

IHSAA CROSS COUNTRY REGIONAL @ CERALAND PARK (COLUMBUS NORTH):

Final Results For Girls And Boys

Madison girls finished 9th overall. Shawe's Calli Alderman finished 10th overall and will advance to the Semi-State. Madison's Brett Cahall and  Switzerland County's Grace White advance to the Semi-State next Saturday at Brown Co.

Southwestern boys finished 7th overall. Southwestern's Trevor Smith and Gavin Mundt both advance to the Semi-State next Saturday at Brown Co.

 

HANOVER COLLEGE ATHLETICS:

Women's Soccer over Bluffton 2-0

Men's Soccer defeats Bluffton 7-1

Volleyball over Bluffton 3-2 and falls to Otterbein 3-1

Women's Tennis falls to  Transylvania 5-1 in the Semi-Finals of The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament

Men's Cross Country team finished 28th overall in the 39 team field at the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble whiles the women placed 21st out of a 32 team field:  Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble Results
