Carroll fall. Bowyer gets first win

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 9th:

GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL:

Sonja Bowyer gets first varsity head coaching win as Madison defeats Switzerland Co.50-37. Jade Nutley had 24 points to lead the Lady Cubs while Aleiah Thomas had 10 for the Lady Pacers.

2nd ROUND KHSAA GRIDIRON BOWL:

#14 Carroll Co. falls to #4 Glasgow 51-8. Panthers end their season at 7-5.

 

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 10th:

GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL:

1A #9 West Washington over Southwestern 62-39

Switzerland Co. defeats Henryville 54-47

HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS SWIMMING:

Southwestern fell to New Albany 113-42. Julia Worcester won the 500 freestyle and Megan Thomas won the 100 breaststroke for the Lady Rebels.

History was made Saturday afternoon, as the Hanover men's and women's cross country teams will each send a runner to the NCAA Division III National Championships. Senior Jacob Hedrick (Memphis, Ind.) became the first men's runner in program history to qualify for the national championships, while freshman Arig Tong (Columbus, Ind.) is the first women's runner since Emily Cochard in 2007 and the fourth woman in program history to make the final cut.

The first duel meet of the 2018-19 season was a successful one for the Hanover men's swimming team, as they defeated Anderson on the road, 120-100.

 The Hanover women's swimming team continued its inaugural season with a duel meet at Anderson. The Panthers fell to the host-Ravens, 150-99.
