Shawe Memorial returned home Saturday morning for a non-conference matchup with Trimble County winning 8-3 on strong pitching and timely hitting.  Jacob Hertz started on the mound and picked up the win going 7 innings allowing 3 runs 2 earned.  He scattered 9 hits and struck out 7.

Offensively,  the Hilltoppers were led by Eric Liu who was 3/4 with an RBI and 2 runs scored.  Wyatt Nichter and Philip Kahn each added 2 hits. Kahn had an RBI  and Nichter 3.  Jacob Hart, Zach Gish, and Hertz had singles for the Hilltoppers.

MADISON placed third in the Paoli Invite. This proved to be our first win over Tell City.

This was a great meet for us today. The older guys are really leading this team and the younger guys are following their leadership. We were seeded to finish around 6th place today. Everyone really stepped up to jump us up to 3rd. Chip remained undefeated on the season.
