TENNIS:
The Lady Rebels traveled to Milan on Monday and came home with another tight win 3-2. Syrenia, Ava and two doubles pulled out the wins for us today. Autumn and Natalie got ahead 4-0 in the first and just fell apart. You must close out matches when leading late in a set like that. Emma was really sick but hung tough before falling in a tough match. Ava continues to be a rock for us. After falling behind 0-3 she made a good run of six games in a row and closed out the second set quickly. Syrenia played a good match at one singles for us fighting a lot of wind she hits some great cross court shots to get the win. Two dubs of Raygan and Kaylee might have played their best match of the season hitting some amazing shots both from the baseline and at the net. Now 5-0 we travel to Borden on Wednesday and that will be a good test to see where we are here at mid season as they are a really good team.
No. 1 singles – Syrenia Hardy (SW) def. Ava Honnett (M) 6-2, 6-3
No. 2 singles – Emma Hatton (SW) lost to Margot Keller (M) 4-6, 6-7
No.3 singles – Ava Barnes (SW) def. Kayla Walke (M) 6-3, 6-1
No. 1 doubles – Autumn Gross and Natalie LaRue (SW) lost to Ariel Haessig and Alyssa Phelps (M) 4-6, 4-6
No. 2doubles – Raygan Crawford and Kaylee Hite (SW) def. Ellie Knecht and Olivia Deaton (M) 6-4, 6-4

We played well tonight despite some difficult conditions. I felt like we managed our misses well and succeeded in recovering and working to get up and down efficiently.
