GOLF:

Southwestern Boy's Golf hosted their home opener tonight at Butler Falls Golf Course.

Southwestern was the overall winner with a team score of 191.

Wyatt Barker (Southwestern) was the overall medalist with a low score of 45.

It's great to get our first win of the season and win at our home course. I thought everyone focused well on not letting smaller errors escalate into lost holes. Wyatt and Jackson stepped up big tonight when we needed it. Our boys know they have each other's backs. When someone is off we have 5 others who can step up and finish strong.

TENNIS: 

Shawe varsity girls tennis traveled to Lawrenceburg on Thursday. Shawe was on the wrong end of a 0-5 decision with the cards stacked against them from the beginning. Here are the results:

TRACK AND FIELD: 

Shawe competed tonight in a 4way with South Ripley, Rising Sun and Oldenburg.

Sam Fewell placed 1st in the 1600m and 400m, placed 2nd in the 800m

Wyatt Lundergan placed 1st in the Long Jump, 3rd in the 300m hurdles and 6th in the 200m

Matthew Vaughn placed 7th in the 100m

Jose Aguilar placed 8th in the 100

Kristyna Vaskova placed 1st in the 1600m and 3rd in the 800m

Cassidy Nott placed 4th in the 1600m and 8th in the 400m and 800m

Katie Thevenow placed 2nd in the 400m

Berkeley Neuman placed 7th in the 200m

To have 24 personal bests on the night is great. Everyone is improving everyday in practice and it showed tonight. Chip remains undefeated in the pole vault as does Eli Dodge in the 200.
