In Hanover College Athletics:
D3 Hoops just announced the 2020 Women’s Basketball All-Great Lakes Region Team. Alexis Nall was honored with First Team All-Great Lakes, and was the only Indiana native selected to the first team. Co-Players of the year were Sydney Kopp of Depauw, and Kenedy Schoonveld of Hope. Rookie of the year was Chloe Jansen of Mount St. Joseph.
Congrats to Sean O’Meara from the Panther lacrosse team, he was just named Defensive Player of the Week. Sean had 17 saves in 56 minutes, with a save percentage of 47.2%
In National Sports News:
Four Brooklyn Nets players have tested positive for COVID-19. One player is exhibiting symptoms, while three are asymptomatic. Kevin Durant is one of those four players.
Tom Brady, future Hall of Fame Quarterback, took to twitter yesterday to announce he will not be returning to New England this year. It is not a done deal yet, but it’s speculated that he will end up going to Tampa Bay.
The Carolina Panthers and former University of Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater, have agreed to a 3 year $63 million deal.
And Philip Rivers has agreed to a one year $25 million deal with the Indianapolis Colts
