Vevay Man Arrested On Multiple Felony Charges

(Madison, Ind.) - On January 13, the City of Madison Police Department executed a search warrant in the 600 block of East Street. 

As a result of the executed search warrant, Madison Police arrested James M. Bare, 29, of Vevay. 

Bare was arrested on the alleged charges of possession of paraphernalia (class a misdemeanor), possession of a syringe (level 6 felony), possession of a controlled substance (class a misdemeanor), possession of a legend drug (level 6 felony), obstruction of justice (level 6 felony), and possession of methamphetamine (level 6 felony). 

In addition to the charges above, Bare also had two outstanding warrants for his arrest;

  • Switzerland County, an active warrant for receiving stolen property.
  • Jefferson County, an active warrant for probation violation: level 4 burglary

This investigation remains ongoing and was led by Patrolman Jared Sweet, Patrolman Cameron Blankenship, and Patrolman Trent Smith.  Detective Kyle Cutshaw assisted.
