*Update-Indiana State Police Conducting Death Investigation*

Autopsy and Toxicology Results Are Pending

                                         

The identity of the man found deceased in a vehicle on March 6, 2022 on South Main Street in Brownstown, Indiana has been confirmed to be Jason H. Noel, age 49, Scipio, Indiana.

Noel was found unresponsive in a vehicle at approximately 2:30 pm on Sunday afternoon. Brownstown Police Officers and other emergency personnel arrived and attempted to provide medical aid. Noel was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Jackson County Coroner’s Office.

This afternoon, an autopsy was performed to determine the cause of death. The results of the autopsy as well as toxicology results are still pending, however, foul play is not suspected at this time.

Jason Noel’s family has been notified.

The Indiana State Police have been assisted in this investigation by the Brownstown Police Department, Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Jennings County Sheriff’s Office, and Jackson County Coroner’s Office.
