Police believed the male subject was in harm
Sunday at approximately 6:25am, An Officer with the Vevay Police Department was dispatched to 701 East Main Street (BP Gas Station) in reference to an unresponsive male subject, sitting in the driver seat of a White Hyundai, parked, and running in front of station.
The Officer found the male subject unresponsive in the driver's seat and the vehicle running. Believing the male subject was in harm, entry was made into the vehicle. The Officer observed that the subject was taking shallow intermediate breaths, slobbering from the mouth, and was unconscious. The Officer observed that the male subject had a clear baggy sticking out from his waist band, the contents of the bag are believed to be methamphetamine. The bag was sent to the Indiana State Police Laboratory for testing
The male subject is a Gary Carter from Madison, Indiana. Gary is charged with Possession of methamphetamine, possession of a legend drug without a prescription, possession of a controlled substance, and Operating While Intoxicated. Gary is innocent until proven guilty.
The Officer was assisted by the Switzerland County sheriff's Office and Switzerland County Emergency Response.
