Two Injuried In Early Morning Accident On SR 56

Delayed some students on arriving to school

Two vehicle accident in Hanover this morning tied up traffic during the travel time to work and school.

According to the Hanover Police, the accident happen around 7:30 on SR 56 near Auxier Gas.

A vehicle was stopped to make a left hand turn when it was rear ended. The force of the impact sent the vehicle off the road and into a billboard. The other collided with a power pole.

The drivers were both taken to Kings Daughters Hospital. No one else was in either vehicle.

The drivers names have not been release and the cause according to a witness to police, "They didn't hit the brakes at all".

Eastbound traffic was backed up for a while almost 2 ½ miles. Southwestern school officials messaged parents that if their student was late due to the accident they would not be counted tardy.
