Two Confess To Burglary

Started March 29th

 On March 29, 2018 Reserve Deputy Darin Ayler and Deputy Brian Muldoon responded to a burglary of a residence and detached garage in the 7200 block of N 1000 W Commiskey, IN. The residents reported that they had been gone for the day and came home and discovered someone had broken into their residence and detached garage. The notices many items had been taken including guns, tools, medication, computers, clothing, credit cards and various other items. Reserve Deputy Ayler and Deputy Muldoon recovered evidence at the residence and spoke with neighbors in the area. Neighbors were able to give a vehicle description and suspects were developed.

On April 3, 2018 Detective Yancy Denning and Reserved Deputy interviewed suspect, Yatisha F. Scholl, age 38 of Madison, IN, at the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department. Yatisha F. Scholl was incarcerated on unrelated charges at that time. Yatisha Scholl then confessed to taking part in the burglaries. Additional information was gained during that interview and a warrant was obtained for Aaron T. Ashby, age 36 Milton, Ky.

On April 11, 2018 Aaron T. Ashby was arrested on a warrant. Det. Yancy Denning and Reserve Deputy Darin Ayler interviewed Aaron T. Ashby on April 13, 2018 at the Jefferson County Jail. Aaron confessed to his part in the burglaries.

 

Yatisha F. Scholl and Aaron T. Ashby face the following charges;Burglary Level 4 Felony
Burglary Level 5 Felony
Conspiracy to commit Burglary Level 4 Felony
Theft Level 6 Felony

Yatisha F. Scholl was given a $5000.00 cash bond at her initial hearing while Aaron T. Ashby is awaiting his initial hearing.

All persons are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
