No students were injured
Trimble County school bus #5 crashed into a tree Thursday morning while picking up students before school.
Supt. Steve Miracle said the bus driver and students involved were checked for injuries by local EMS at the Trimble County Board of Education offices. No students were injured, but parents were called for permission for EMS to check the students.
Miracle said the front wheels of the bus slipped off the edge of the road, causing the bus to go off the road into a tree.
The crash happened on Smith Lane in Bedford, between 7:45 a.m. and 8 a.m.
