Started by a rear end collision
-UPDATE- From Jefferson Co. Sheriff's Department 10:45
August 9, 2018 @ 5:24 PM the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department responded to a personal injury accident on State Road #62 @ Jackson Road / Swan Road. The three vehicle accident resulted in three injuries, two were transported to KDH by EMS and the third airlifted from the scene to the University of Louisville Hospital.
Dalton Hardy 20, Lexington, Indiana, was in the North bound lane of Highway #62 waiting to make a left turn onto Swan Road, when the trailer he was pulling was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by Mitchell Whicker 30, Hanover, Indiana. Whicker, who was also North bound on Highway #62 clipped the rear of the Hardy trailer and then swerved over into the South bound lane, striking the southbound FED X delivery truck. The FED X truck was driven by Brandon Gregory 31, Charlestown, Indiana.
Mitchell Whicker was extracted from his vehicle by the Hanover Fire Department and airlifted to Louisville, Kentucky. Both Hardy and Gregory were transported by KDH-EMS to KDH-ER for treatment.

One person was flown to Louisville with serious injuries and two others taken to Kings Daughters Hospital with their injuries after a three-vehicle accident around 5:30 last evening on SR 62 at Jackson Road.
A vehicle was turning and was attempting to avoid another that was failing to stop and into the path of another.
SR 62 was closed for around an hour.
No names have officially been released by the Jefferson Co. Sheriff’s Department.
