Survey Shows Hoosiers Support Cigarette Tax Increase

Two-dollars a pack

New data shows Hoosiers support a cigarette tax hike.

A majority of respondents to the Bellwether Research survey favored a two dollar per pack increase.  A portion of those funds would go to tobacco prevention programs.

A bill to raise the cigarette tax is expected to be proposed in the statehouse in the next few days.
