Subject Charged Intimidation At Switzerland Co. High School

Graffiti found in a bathroom

Yesterday, Switzerland Co. School Resource Officer, Roy Leap received information of graffiti on the wall of the men’s restroom at the high school.

The nature of the graffiti lead to a police investigation,  “1-19-19 shoot up school.”

During the investigation a person of interest was determined and interviewed. The subject admitted guilt and taken to the Switzerland Co. Jail on a Level 6 intimidation charge.

School administrators sent a letter to parents that there was no immediate threat. Still, extra security measures are being put in place at Switzerland County High School and there will be additional measures at Friday night’s homecoming basketball game and school dance.
