July 14, 2021, Madison Police executed a narcotics search warrant in the 1800 block of Meridian Street.  As a result of the executed warrant, officers arrested Eddie T. Gray 47, Madison, Indiana, and Rebecca R. Rice 43, Madison, Indiana, on narcotic related charges.

In addition to drug charges, Gray was also charged with theft.  Earlier in the day, Madison Police investigated the theft of a U-Haul car dolly trailer from the 300 block of E. Main Street.  The stolen trailer, which had already been spray painted, was located adjacent to the Meridian Street residence in which Gray frequents.

As a result of the executed search warrant, Madison Police Officers located methamphetamine, paraphanailia, and dozens of "loaded" syringes which are believed to contain methamphetamine.

The investigation into this drug activity was led by Patrolmen Jared Sweet, Cameron Blankenship, and Trent Smith.   Rebecca Rice and Eddie Gray both have the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty.
