Madison, Ind., September 18, 2024 – The popular Southeast Indiana Coffee Trail has relaunched with an expanded footprint and new locations, regional tourism officials announced this week. This regional SEI Coffee Trail now includes 21 unique coffee shops located in seven counties throughout Southeast Indiana, all of which are independently-owned and operated. The expansion for the end of 2024 and 2025 includes six coffee shops in Jefferson County: Hos Coffee, The Attic/Coffee Mill Café, The Red Roaster, Analog Coffee & Records, Playhouse Café, & Honey Bean Coffee Co.

The Coffee Trail launched in 2023 with a partnership between tourism offices in Dearborn, Decatur, Franklin, Ripley, and Ohio Counties. This year’s expansion brought locations in Jefferson and Bartholomew Counties into the trail.

“We’re excited to work with our regional tourism colleagues to bring the Southeast Indiana Coffee Trail to Madison and Jefferson County. This is a great opportunity for coffee connoisseurs to explore all the delicious brews throughout Southeastern Indiana, including six right here in Madison! Visitors and residents alike will love all the unique and wonderful places to enjoy some java.”

The trail works by picking up a coffee trail rack card at one of the participating Visitors Centers or coffee shops. At each participating location, coffee lovers can have their card checked off. Upon completion of the entire trail, participants will receive a Southeast Indiana Coffee Trail t-shirt. The first 100 participants will also receive an insulated travel mug along with coupons and discounts redeemable at coffee spots along the trail.

Forrester added, “This is just another way that Visit Madison works to develop and promote visitor experiences with our tourism partners, and we’re looking forward to expanding our partnerships and projects like this in the future.”

The Southeast Indiana Coffee Trail will run through December 2025. Visitors can pick up their coffee trail passports at the Columbus Visitors Center in Columbus, the Dearborn County Visitor Center in Lawrenceburg, Visit Greensburg in Greensburg, Join Us in Jennings in North Vernon, the Franklin County Welcome Center in Brookville, Visit Madison in Madison, and the Ripley County Tourism Bureau in Versailles.
