(Madison, Ind.) - Event-goers of the annual Soup Stew Chili and Brew Festival will have to wait until next year to take in all the fun activities and delicious food the event has to offer.

This event joins the list of many others that have been canceled due to the pandemic, but the Soup Stew Chili and Brew committee have decided that it is in the best interest of the public to cancel the 2020 festival.

"The decision proved extremely difficult as the festival holds such a special place the hearts of committee members, Madison locals, and tourists who visit each year," said the committee in a news release.

Even though this year's event will not be taking place, the committee is already planning for next year's festival which will be taking place on October 9, 2021.

The committee would also like input on the possibility of holding a virtual festival for this year. You can send feedback and suggestions here
