Short-term closure planned for State Road 7 Thursday

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ind.— The Indiana Department of Transportation will be closing State Road 7 from Main St in Madison to the top of Hanging Rock Hill for approximately three hours on Thursday, August 5. 

During this closure, maintenance crews will be removing a few dead trees that have fallen and clearing debris from the top of inlet drains. 

Motorists will need to seek an alternate route during the hours of approximately 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The official detour will follow State Road 62 and U.S. 421.
