(Scott County, Ind.) – On December 18, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office hosted “Shop with the Sheriff.”

Due to COVID-19, this year’s event was altered to keep everyone safe and healthy for the holiday season. The sheriff’s office received a “wish list” from 50 students at Scott County School Districts #1 and #2.

Sheriff’s deputies, reserves, and jail staff purchased and wrapped all the items on the children's list, and were even able to give every child a donated ham, canned goods, and other food items so each child could have a Christmas meal.

Sheriff Gooding stated, “We truly live in the greatest county around for helping our friends, family, and neighbors in a time of need.”
