Scott Co. Sheriff's Department Welcomes K9 Cyrus

Allows for an additional patrol and narcotics K9 to the Sheriff's Office

Scott Co. Sheriff Hughbanks would like to welcome K9 Cyrus to the Scott County Sheriff's Office!

Cyrus' K9 Handler is Deputy Joshua Watterson.  Due to Deputy Watterson's service in the United States Marine Corps,  he qualified for the Post 9/11 GI Bill.  This Bill allowed for an additional patrol and narcotics K9 to the Sheriff's Office.

K9 Cyrus is a two year old German Shepherd, who was bred in the Czech Republic.  K9 Cyrus was then transferred to Mexico for his initial training.  K9 Handler Watterson and Cyrus attended a two week training course and an additional weekend course specific for drug interdiction. This was hosted by Universal K9 in San Antonio, Texas.

Scott County Sheriff's Office is pleased to introduce our newest asset to the law enforcement family.  Welcome to Scott County, K9 Cyrus!
