The Proclamation goes as follows.
Scott County Sheriff, Jerry Goodin, issued a proclamation today confirming his support for the Constitution of the United States of America and Amendments and the constitution of the state of Indiana and amendments.
The Proclamation goes as follows:
Sheriff of Scott County, Indiana, Jerry D. Goodin’s commitment to the Constitutions of the United States of America and the Great State of Indiana.
Whereas, the structures and limitations of government are expressed in the Constitution of the United States of America and the Constitution of State of Indiana and their amendments thereunto: and,
“Be it further known,” whereas, an Indiana Sheriff is required to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America and the Constitution of the State of Indiana and,
“Be it further known,” the Sheriff of Scott County, Indiana, Jerry D. Goodin, respects the structures and limitations of government expressed in the Constitution of the United States of America and the Constitution of the State of Indiana and,
“Be it further known,” the Sheriff of Scott County, Indiana, has full faith that the division of powers expressed in the Constitution of the United States of America and the Constitution of the State of Indiana shall continue to operate to prevent any laws that infringe upon the rights guaranteed to the people of Scott County, Indiana and,
“Be it further known,” the Sheriff of Scott County, Indiana shall enforce any law that has been determined to an appropriate court to violate either the Constitution of the United States of America or the Constitution of the State of Indiana and,
“Be it known and further resolved,” that by the virtue of his Oath of Office, the Scott County, Indiana, Sheriff, Jerry D. Goodin, fully supports both, the Constitution of the United States of America and the Constitution of the Great State of Indiana and their Amendments.
“Be it further known,” the Sheriff of Scott County, Indiana guarantees the great people of Scott County, Indiana that the “Rule of Law” will be enforced and the “rule of force, intimidation and fear will be diminished.”
