Trimble Co.
On March 31st the Trimble County Sheriff’s Office presented a Carrying Concealed Deadly Weapons (CCDW) class for teachers and staff from the Trimble County School District.
The class included 6 hours of instruction on legal issues, safety, weapons nomenclature & cleaning, basic marksmanship skills and range qualifications. Following the CCDW class, participants completed a written test and live ammunition shooting test which involved firing 20 rounds at a target from a 21 foot mark.
The class and testing were provided for free, leaving the school staff members responsible for only the state paperwork fees.
Thanks to Deputy Glen Powell and Deputy Dennis Sharon, both certified CCDW instructors, for conducting the training and testing.
