JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ind.— Indiana Department of Transportation contractor E&B Paving, Inc. is scheduled to close S.R. 62 over Toddy's Branch approximately one mile east of North Copeland Ridge Road for a bridge replacement project near Canaan.

On or after Monday, November 27, S.R. 62 will close approximately three miles west of Canaan and is expected to reopen in late February, weather permitting. Throughout the closure, motorists should use the official detour route which follows U.S. 421 and S.R. 129.

This project is part of a contract awarded to E&B Paving, Inc. in February 2023 and includes a total of five bridge rehabilitation projects on S.R. 62 in Jefferson County.

INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and consider worker safety when traveling in and near construction zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
