Ripley Co. EMS to Offer EMT Course

Classes will start in February.

(Ripley County, Ind.) - Ripley County EMS will be offering an EMT Course beginning in February. 

Starting February 4, classes will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings with three prescheduled Saturdays to complete necessary coursework and requirements. 

This course is designed to prepare class members to pass the EMT National Registry exam, which then qualifies you for Indiana EMT certification. Through this course, you will complete the National Association of EMTs (NAEMT) Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS), and Emergency Vehicle Operator Safety (EVOS) courses, as well as the Indiana Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC). 

Cost is $1,000 and includes all books and materials needed, a course polo shirt to be worn during clinical phases, and the fees associated with testing.
