Resilient Jefferson County To Host Conference in April

Addressing Adverse Childhood Experiences

                                   resilient

MADISON, Ind. – Resilient Jefferson County is hosting a free half-day conference to hear from national and state leaders on how communities are addressing Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). ACEs are traumatic experiences between the ages of 0-18 that not only make growing up difficult, but lead to lifelong social, emotional, and/or health problems for adults, some of which lead to criminal activity and early death. The conference will be held at the Clifty Inn on April 19, 2023, with check-in beginning at 8:00; the keynote speaker, Mr. Rick Griffin, a nationally recognized expert, will start the conference at 9:00. The event will conclude by 1:30. Participants will have the opportunity to share their ideas on how to combat ACEs in Jefferson County. Lunch and a light breakfast will be provided.

The conference is open to anyone in the county who wants to learn more about ACEs and what can be done to lessen the impact of ACEs in our community.

More information, including how to register for this event, may be found at the Resilient Jefferson County website, www.resilientjeffersoncounty.org/conference or contact Keith Howard at howardk@kdhmadison.org. Registration is required and must by done before April 4th.
