The Jefferson Co. Republican Party held their caucus Saturday morning to select a person to fill out the remaining term Mayor of Madison after the unexpected passing last month of Mayor Damon Welch.
The caucus meet and unanimously selected and approved, Republican Madison Mayoral candidate Bob Courtney to fill the remaining term.
Courtney, the Republican candidate for Madison Mayor is opposed in the race by Democratic candidate Julie Berry. The Mayoral election is Tuesday, November November 5th.
