2021-2022 POP COVID-19 Plan POP has created this updated 2021-2022 plan based on known information at this time. Mandates from the Jefferson County Public Health Department or another health agency could cause the plan to change. The Jefferson County Health Department and surrounding counties’ Health Departments urge all Southern Indiana residents to get vaccinated against COVID-19. You can schedule your COVID vaccine by visiting www.ourshot.in.gov. The Jefferson County Health Department is accepting walk-ins Monday - Friday from 9am-3pm. All three vaccine options are available but only the Pfizer vaccine is available for persons under the age of 18. TOPIC JEFFERSON COUNTY METRICS GREEN OR YELLOW JEFFERSON COUNTY METRICS ORANGE OR RED Masks/Face Coverings Masks are optional inside of schools for all students. In some settings, in which social distancing (3 ft) is not possible, masks might be required. (Ex. Mass) Masks are REQUIRED inside of schools for all students in grades 3-12 when they cannot remain socially distanced. Symptom Screenings POP Families are expected to screen their children and keep them home if they have a fever of 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit Unvaccinated students will be asked to stay home or will be sent home if they exhibit a COVID-19 symptom. They will need a negative COVID test to return. Physical Distancing Classroom spacing of 3 feet is recommended. Contact tracing will be conducted for individuals within 3 feet in classrooms and 6 feet in other indoor settings. Visitors Visitors may enter the building with masks recommended. Joining students for lunch is not permitted. Visitors who enter the building will be required to wear masks. Joining students for lunch is not permitted. Athletics and Extracurricular IHSAA Guidelines will be followed. Event seating capacity will be standard. IHSAA Guidelines will be followed. Quarantine Unvaccinated students will be sent home if they are determined to be a close contact to a positive COVID case.
