Vance is also being held on a no bond level 4 felony warrant out of Jefferson County.

(Jennings County, Ind.) – On December 21, at approximately 12:00 a.m. deputies with the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of an intoxicated subject in the area of Brewersville.
Just before, Jennings County Dispatch received a call advising that a male subject, later identified as 25-year-old Brogan Vance, entered his neighbors home uninvited, sat down in a chair and fell asleep. The homeowner stated that when he woke up Vance in an attempt to make him leave a verbal altercation took place.
Once Vance left the residence, the homeowner found a revolver pistol in the chair in which Vance fell asleep in.
Upon the arrival of deputies, they made contact with the caller who stated that he believed Vance had gone into his residence across the street. Deputies attempted to make contact with Vance at his residence which was unsuccessful. Deputies were also unable to locate Vance in a search of the area.
At approximately, 2:15 a.m., Jennings County Dispatch received a call stating that Vance had returned to the original caller’s residence and another verbal altercation took place.
When deputies arrived the second time, they observed Vance running back into his residence with a knife. Deputies then secured a perimeter and began calling out to Vance. The Jennings County ERT team was activated and as team members were responding, Vance surrendered and exited his home complying with the demands of the deputies.
Vance was taken into custody without further incident and is currently being held in the Jennings County Jail on the charges of residential entry (level 6 felony), intimidation with a deadly weapon (level 6 felony), and felon in possession of a firearm without a permit (level 5 felony).
