Online Threats to Police Officers Leads to an Arrest

On August 13, 2019, Deputy Joe Baker with the Scott County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation of threats being made towards police officers on social media.

This investigation led to charges being filed with the assistance of the Scott County Prosecutor’s Office against Mark Puckett, 18, of Corydon, Indiana for Intimidation against a Public Official.

On August 17, 2019 Deputy Baker received information that Mark Puckett was in Kentucky. Deputy Baker contacted the Kentucky State Police and they were able to locate and arrest Mark Puckett.

Mark Puckett was transported to the Hart County Jail in Kentucky and is awaiting extradition.
