One Arrested Following Stabbing At La Grange Walmart

(La Grange, Ky.) – On Wednesday, April 22, officers from the La Grange Police Department, Oldham County Police Department, and Oldham County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Walmart in La Grange on a report of a stabbing.

When officers arrived at the scene and located the adult female victim with multiple stab wounds in the Walmart parking area. Prior to police arrival, the perpetrator fled the scene in a Kia sedan.

After a short vehicle pursuit with the deployment of stop sticks and striking an Oldham County Police vehicle and Oldham County Police Officer, the male was taken into custody in the 1100 block of Commerce Parkway in La Grange.

The female victim was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital by Oldham County EMS due to injuries sustained during the initial assault. The male was taken to the University of Louisville Hospital by the Oldham County EMS as a result of self-inflicted injuries.

Preliminary information indicates the two know each other, but the extent of that relationship remains under investigation.
