Trooper detected an odor consistent with marijuana coming from within the vehicle.
Gallatin County, Ky. (03/17/2022) –On March 15th at approximately 9:17 p.m. while on patrol a Kentucky State Police Post 5 Trooper observed a vehicle traveling near the 57 mile marker on Interstate 71 with multiple infractions. The trooper conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle.
When the trooper approached the vehicle to make contact with the occupant(s) he detected an odor consistent with marijuana coming from within. While speaking with the sole occupant and the owner of the vehicle, Jordan Parker a 30 year old male of Coshocton Ohio, the trooper observed him to exhibit multiple signs of nervous behavior.
A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded 1.3 pounds of Marijuana, 91 Ecstasy pills, 17 Adderall pills, 8 grams of Cocaine, 2 firearms and US currency.
Mr. Parker was arrested and charged with Improper Equipment, Rear License not Illuminated, Failure to Produce Insurance Card, Trafficking in Marijuana 1st Offense, Drug Paraphernalia, Prescription of Controlled Substance not in Proper Container 1st Degree, and Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Degree-Anabolic Steroids.
Mr. Parker was transported to the Carroll County Detention Center where he was lodged. The investigation is ongoing and being conducted by Kentucky State Police Post 5.
