Now That You Placed Your Order For Cyber Monday, Beware Of Porch Pirates

Protect your packages

Cyber Monday is one of the busiest shopping days of the year. The National Retail Federation predicts that 75 million people will place an online order during the shopping event, meaning lots of packages will be delivered to homes in the following days or weeks. These packages can be easy targets for porch pirates trying to steal holiday joy.

Last year, nearly 26 million Americans had a holiday package stolen by porch pirates - right off their doorstep.

There are ways to protect your packages, like, requiring a signature for delivery, asking the delivery service to drop the package at a back or side door, or installing video security systems to fend off thieves. You can also have your package delivered to your workplace so it isn't sitting outside as an easy target for porch pirates.
