North Vernon man faces drug and counterfeiting charges

On February 21, 2019 at approximately 10:30 A.M., deputies from the Jennings County Sherriff’s Office served a felony arrest warrant in Lovett Township. Upon deputies arrival to the residence, they made contact with the wanted person, Jason Farris (37), of North Vernon. Farris was wanted out of Jennings County for passing counterfeit bills.

Further investigation led officers to locate numerous prescription and controlled substances, as well as multiple syringes and paraphernalia inside of the residence. Farris was transported to the Jennings County Jail on the following preliminary charges:

1. Jennings County Arrest Warrant for counterfeiting
-Level 6 Felony 
2. Possession of Syringe 
-Level 6 Felony
3. Violation of Legend Drug Acts
-Level 6 Felony
4. Possession of Controlled Substance
-Level 6 Felony 
5. Possession of Paraphernalia 
-A Misdemeanor
