Join us for a campfire and s’mores

On Friday, Sept. 2 at 7 p.m. come to the Clifty Falls Nature Center to join the naturalist and volunteers from our Friends Group around the campfire.

Bring your own chair or blanket and make a s’more while finding out more about critters that roam the park at night. For more information about this and other upcoming programs visit on.IN.gov/CliftyFalls.

Run

Run or walk in the 24th annual Run the Falls 5K

Norton King’s Daughters’ Health will host its 24th annual Run the Falls 5K on Saturday, Sept. 24 at 8 a.m. at Clifty Falls.

Registration is $20 and can be made at kdhmadison.org/calendar/events/2022-run-the-falls-5k. Participants registering before Sept. 11 will receive a free long sleeve T-shirt.

Packet pick-up and on-site registration will begin at 7 a.m. at the swimming pool. Awards are provided to both walkers and runners by age group using electronic chip timing.


Clean up

Volunteer on National Public Lands Day

Clifty Falls State Park will be celebrating National Public Lands Day on Sunday, Sept. 25. It is the largest single day volunteer effort in the nation. To celebrate, we will be having a park clean-up at 10 a.m. at the Clifty Shelter and an invasive plant wrangle at 2 p.m. at the pool.

Save the date for the upcoming haunted house

Come to Clifty Falls on Oct. 28 and 29 for the Clifty Falls of Fear Haunted House. It will be open from 8 to 11 p.m. each night at the Clifty Shelter. Admission will be $10, which does not include the park entry fee. All proceeds will benefit the Friends of Clifty Falls State Park.
