A new report recently announced the 2020 top school district rankings for the State of Indiana. It highlights the districts that have produced the highest quality education environments for their students.
The analysis covers a variety of metrics for over 10,000 schools. The report says, “some of these differences in performance stem from the additional resources certain school districts have access too, which, in turn, leads to better scholastic conditions and a stronger education for students involved.”
The area schools that were ranked on the list of the top 100 were Sunman- Dearborn Community Schools at 16, Jennings County School Corporation at 48, Greensburg Community Schools at 61, South Ripley Community School Corporation at 80, and Lawrenceburg Community School Corporation at 86.
Schools such as Madison, Southwestern, Scott, and Shawe did not make the top 100 list. Other factors that also went into determining these rankings were based on assessing crucial scholastic and financial metrics, including student- to- teacher ratio, standardized test scores, teacher quality, school funding, and graduation rate.
This information was gathered from databases at the National Center for Education Statistics and the U.S. Department of Education.
